I LOVE this time of the year especially now that my little one kind of understands what's going on. This year, he's helped decorate the Christmas tree, stayed away from the wrapped presents that are under the tree and has really enjoyed seeing Christmas lights around the suburb. I'm in love with this 2 year old at the moment and cannot wait for Christmas day when he opens up his gifts.
This years, I'm going to try to make some healthy Christmas themed food for the Brodie. Here are a few bloggers I keep in touch with on Instagram and they are inspiring mums with some great and easy recipes.
1. Christmas Frozen Yogurt Bark by Amy from FeedingFinn.
I love the colours and the shapes of this frozen yoghurt bark. It's a healthy and fun Christmas snack that you can engage the kids to make together with you in the kitchen and also eat.Ingredients include:
But I'm going to try attempting this with blueberries because Brodie loves them. Head to Amy's website for more details on how to prep this awesome and fun recipe.
2. Healthy strawberry Santas by Stacey at My Kids Lick the Bowl
I met Stacey through Instagram. Stacey used to live in Sydney many years ago but after they had three kids, her and her husband decided to move back to New Zealand. She's a no BS type of person and that's what I like about her. Did I also mention that she is a qualified nutritionist and dietitian! The ingredients for this recipe include:
Head to her blog for the full recipe.
So who doesn't like cake right? Especially if it's a yummy one. The trick I figured with a toddler is portion control and not letting him see the WHOLE cake (yup made that mistake and he thinks he's allowed to gorge himself on the whole adult size cake!). Another mummy food blogger that I follow on Instagram is Grace from Eats Amazing. This Christmas cakes receipt looks pretty easy to attempt and the cakes are a great size for little people and so so cute. Check out here post here.
I hope you enjoyed this post. Please leave a comment if you did. Have a Merry Christmas this year and go create some memories in the kitchen with your little ones.
